How do I remove iron-on applique glue from a garment?

I peeled off an applique and the glue is still on the clothing. How can it be removed without ruining the garment?

You need some clean rags. Dampen rag and place over adhesive. Press a hot iron over the damp rag then remove rag. Keep doing this till the rags take up the adhesive. Do not hold iron in one spot to long you could burn garment.
